OUTBOUND TRAINING FOR TRAINERS

Profession as a coach is very different to educators in general. Coaches are required to have a set of basic knowledge. This is possible because the training process is relatively shorter than the education, the target was more oriented psychomotor. This website presents a variety of things with regard to the knowledge base as a coach, in the knowledge base are:

ANDRAGOGY

Understanding
Andragogy comes from two Greek words
, namely Andra means adults and agogos means to lead. Andragogy Perdefinisi then formulated sebagau "An art and science of helping adults learn".

Andragogy word was first used by Alexander Kapp in 1883 to explain and formulate the basic concepts of educational theory of Plato. However, Kapp still distinguish between the terms "Social-pedagogy" which implies the meaning of adult education, with Andragogy. In the formulation of Kapp, "Social-pedagogy" is more a process of recovery education (remedial) for adults with disabilities. The Andragogy, it is more a process of education for all adults, disabled or not disabled in a sustainable manner.

Andragogy and Pedagogy

Malcolm Knowles stated that what we know about learning all this is the conclusion of various studies on childhood behavior and certain experimental animals.
In general, indeed, what we know about teaching and is also the result of the conclusion of teaching experience to children. Most of the teaching-learning theory, based on the formulation of the concept of education as a process of cultural transfer. On the basis of the theories and assumptions that later sparked the term "pedagogy" whose roots originate from the Greek, meaning paid agogos childhood and means to lead. Then Pedagogy means to lead the children or perdefinisi defined specifically as "a science and art of teaching a child". Finally, pedagogy and are generally defined as "the science and art of teaching".

To understand the difference between understanding Andragogy pedagogy with the understanding that has been presented, must be seen first four fundamental difference, namely:

Self-image

Self-image of a child is that he depends on others. At the time the child becomes an adult, he became increasingly aware and feels that he can make decisions for himself. The change of image dependence on others to become self-image. This is referred to as the attainment of psychological maturity level or stage of adulthood. Thus, people who have reached adulthood would be discouraged if it is treated as children. In adulthood, the person has had the will to self-directed learning. Impulse for learning continues to grow and thrive is often so strong to continue the process of learning without limits. The implication of this situation is in terms of the relationship between teacher and pupil. In the process of Andragogy, the relationship is reciprocal and mutual help. In the process of pedagogy, the relationship is more determined by the teacher and be led.

Experience

The adults in his life had many experiences that are very diverse. In children, the experience was exactly the same thing new sekali.Anak children do experience a lot of things, but have not lasted so often. In the process approach Andragogy, adults experience that is regarded as a very rich source of learning. In the process of pedagogical approach, the experience was actually transferred from the teacher to the pupil. Most of the learning process in the pedagogical approach, therefore, carried out by means of communication in one direction, such as lectures, mastery of reading skills and so on. In the process of Andragogy, in ways that are taken over the group discussions, simulations, role plays and others. In such a process, then all the experiences that learners can be utilized as a learning resource.

Learning Readiness

A third difference between pedagogy and Andragogy is in the selection of the content. In a pedagogical approach, gurulah who decided the content and are responsible for the selection process, as well as the time when it will be taught. In Andragogy approach, educate participants who decide what will be learned based on their own needs. Teacher as facilitator.

Nirvana Time and Direction Learning

Education is often viewed as an effort to prepare students for the future. In Andragogy approach, learning is seen as a problem-solving process rather than as a process of granting a particular subject. Therefore, Andragogy is a process of discovery and solving real problems in the present. Directions achievements was the discovery of a better situation, a goal which was deliberately created, a personal experience, an experience of collective or a possible development based on current realities. To find "where we are now" and "where we will go", that is the center of activity in the process of Andragogy. Then studied in Andragogy approach is meant "to solve the problem today", while on approach to pedagogy, learning it is precisely the process of gathering information that is being studied which will be used someday.

Implementation Steps Andragogy
